In the case last Thursday, the defendant was accused of possession of tobacco at the fairgrounds March 23.

A DeSoto County Deputy Sheriff saw her with a pack of cigarettes in her hand. The defendant said she was at the fair with three friends when she got cold and asked if she could wear one of their jackets. When she put the jacket on, a pack of cigarettes fell out of the pocket, she said.
